About the event

Do you know how to tell a speckled wood from a meadow brown? Or a common blue from a holly blue?

If not, join us for a workshop with Butterfly Conservation about identifying our most-spotted UK butterflies! Their volunteer experts will tell us how to tell the difference between some of the common species that look very similar, and how to identify them out in the field, as well as why monitoring bitterflies is really important!

We'll start with a classroom session, then head out on a walk to try and put our new knowledge into practice.

This event is part of our Youth Programme and aimed at anyone between 14 and 25 but parents and siblings are also welcome to attend!

This event will take place at Grow Wilder and is suitable for young people from any level of knowledge or experience! Come along and say hello, meet new people and learn a new skill.

There will be an active part to this session with a walk around over uneven ground - so dress for the weather. Sturdy walking boots are advised.
