About the event

Would you like to learn how to monitor pollinators and contribute to a UK-wide citizen science project?

Join the Avon Wildlife Trust and Buglife this August for a free citizen science training day. You’ll learn about the different insects groups that pollinate our plants and learn how to conduct FIT Counts (Flower-Insect Timed Counts), 10 minute quadrates recording pollinating insects visiting flowers. We will start with a theory based training session on the survey method and how to identify common species, then move onto Brandon Hill to practice surveying and identifying the insects we see.

If able, please download the free FIT count app from FIT Count app | PoMS before the event to take part.
