Grow Wilder is a special place that through demonstration, learning and events connects people with nature to restore and sonserve natural habitats in Bristol and beyond. Grow Wilder is well connected to walking, cycling and bus routes. 

There are fantastic volunteering opportunities to those who are interested or want to learn more about food and flower growing or can help with practical tasks to maintain the site.

Land Management and Food Growing

Land Management & Food Growing Volunteers help bring Grow Wilder’s mission to life by caring for its wildlife-rich landscapes and supporting sustainable food production. This role combines practical conservation with hands-on horticulture, offering a rewarding way to connect with nature while contributing to a thriving community growing space. We are not currently recruiting volunteers for this group.

Maintenance Volunteers

Maintenance Volunteers play a vital part in supporting Grow Wilder’s mission to nurture wildlife-rich habitats and inspire communities to connect with nature. 

In this hands on role, you’ll help care for the site’s buildings, growing spaces, pathways, and shared facilities - making sure the environment is safe, welcoming, and well maintained for visitors, staff, wildlife, and fellow volunteers. We are not currently recruiting volunteers for this group.

Wildflower Nursery

Plant Nursery Volunteers support the heart of Grow Wilder’s mission by helping to cultivate and care for wildlife-friendly plants. The nursery supplies locally sourced, eco-conscious plants that benefit biodiversity across Bristol and beyond. 

In this role, you’ll assist with propagation, plant care, and nursery upkeep - playing an essential part in sustaining a thriving, educational, and conservation-focused space. We are not currently recruiting volunteers for this group.
