About the event

We would like to warmly invite you to join us for a Community Campfire at Avon Wildlife Trust's Grow Wilder  (BS16 1EL) to celebrate Pride Month, on the evening of 18th June 2026 (6-8pm).

Community Campfires are a way of bringing people together to inspire local action for nature. No actual campfire, but lots of community-focused sharing of ideas!

Past themes have included wildlife gardening, running a community group, guerrilla food growing and building a wildlife pond, amongst other things.

This campfire will cultivate a safe queer space for LGBTQ+ folks and allies to explore themes around the intersections of nature, community, and identity.

There will be some time for mingling, samosa eating, listening to local musicians and hearing from some inspiring LQBTQ+ folk talking about the awesome things they’ve been doing for nature.

Inclusivity statement:

This Pride Community Campfire is a safe space for LGBTQ+ folks and allies to explore themes around the intersections of nature, community, and identity.

This event is not looking to ‘out’ anyone on their gender or sexual orientation, but we hope to provide a safe environment where individuals can express their identities freely.

We hope that the evening will provide an opportunity to celebrate and champion LGBTQ+ voices, as well as bringing people together and inspiring everyone to take action for nature

Please respect and be considerate to all attendees. Discrimination of any form will not be tolerated. This is a safe space. We reserve the right to remove anyone displaying aggressive or antisocial behaviour with immediate effect.

By signing up to and attending this event, you are agreeing to all of the above, which will ensure that this event is a safe space for everyone. Thank you.
