Grassland Restoration Team (GRT) is a practical conservation group that works with local farmers and landowners to restore grassland for wildlife, people and livestock.

The Grassland Restoration Team leaves from our offices in central Bristol on Thursdays and every other Tuesday.

Our Wildflower Grassland Project has surveyed beautiful grasslands across the Chew Valley, the Mendips and around Bath over the last five years. The project has a team of practical volunteers who work specifically to improve and extend these grassland habitats, creating a living landscape.

During the autumn and winter, the team's focus is largely on scrub management. In the spring and summer, the work programme can include tasks such as fencing, weed control and hay making as well as monitoring work.
