At Avon Wildlife Trust, we’re here to bring you hope for a wilder future, where nature flourishes in abundance across our region – it just needs you.

We believe that nature holds the key to building a more climate resilient future that benefits both people and wildlife. By restoring precious habitats across our region, we can create a landscape that can withstand the impact of our changing climate – from safe havens and connected corridors where wildlife can thrive, to reducing the risk of flooding to local communities.

If given the chance, nature can bounce back at a faster rate than we ever imagined – and our latest project at Ebdon Farm will show just that.

We can create a brighter future for wildlife by bringing together our team’s knowledge, your determination and support from our communities. Please donate today to help nature on the path to recovery, and create space both people and wildlife.

Nature's path to recovery - You can help makes space for people and wildlife

To show us what it can donature needs our helping hand to begin its journey to recovery. As part of our vision to secure new land for nature’s recovery, we’ve acquired a former dairy farm on the North Somerset Levels and Moors, called Ebdon Farm. This is our most ambitious project to date, transforming 44 hectares of land close to the Severn Estuary into a new climate resilient nature reserve that everyone can enjoy.

If you donate today you could join us in restoring this stretch of land into a range of biodiverse habitats where nature can recover and people can connect with the wildlife they love.

We know that nature needs us to take decisive action if we are to halt declines in biodiversity and help nature recover. Ebdon Farm is a great opportunity to do this on a large scale and make a positive impact.
Shelly Easton, Head of Nature’s Recovery at Avon Wildlife Trust

To help prepare for the effects of a changing climate, we need more land managed in a way that builds future climate resilience.

Surrounded by sites of ecological importance, Ebdon Farm offers a wonderful opportunity to create a wide range of habitats that will provide a stepping stone for species moving between the Severn Estuary and the Mendip Hills further inland.

Surrounded by sites of ecological importance, Ebdon Farm offers a wonderful opportunity to create a wide range of habitats that will provide a stepping stone for species moving between the Severn Estuary and the Mendip Hills further inland.

By transforming precious habitats, we can help create a thriving,  connected wildlife corridor that offers safe refuge for the species most affected by the impacts of climate change, such as wading birds like lapwings and curlews.

As sea levels rise, inland roosts will become increasingly important. Just 2km from the coast, Ebdon Farm is an ideal future location for the Severn Estuary’s wading birds and wildfowl to roost when the tide is high. Donate today and you could help create a wildlife-rich mosaic of habitats that will ease the pressure on vulnerable species as shorelines feel the squeeze.

Together, we can turn the tide on nature’s decline. Donate today and you could help bring back wildlife in abundance and open up access to nature – for everyone.
