People And Wildlife works to bring a greater range of people closer to nature.
Not everyone finds it easy to go and enjoy wildlife. Some people do not like visiting places they do not know, while others simply do not have the transport to get to green spaces. Research shows that enjoying nature and the outside world is good for our physical and mental health. Avon Wildlife Trust's Heritage Lottery Funded People and Wildlife project is engaging a wide diversity of people with nature, including young people, people living in deprived areas, people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups, people with learning disabilities or people recovering from health issues.
