Avon Wildlife Trust has three great learning centres that you can visit and explore. Each one has wild places to investigate and an abundance of wildlife to learn about.
Folly Farm Pond Learning at Folly Farm


Come and enjoy a diverse range of programmes suited to explore the best of the surrounding 250 acre nature reserve with great views over the Chew Valley lake.
Keep your eyes open for the wealth of wildlife in the woodlands and explore what lurks beneath the waters of the pond during the day or be immersed in the wonder of Folly Farm and the wildlife at night on one of our residential courses.

Portbury Wharf

Learning at Portbury Wharf

Portbury Wharf is our newest nature reserve and is close to the estuary foreshore, just south of Bristol. Visit this wetland habitat with its ponds, ditches and lakes to look for rare species such as water vole and otter.

Willsbridge Mill

Learning at Willsbridge Mill

Set in a peaceful valley in South Gloucestershire, the Willsbridge Mill nature reserve has a variety of habitats including meadow, scrub, ponds, stream and a wildlife garden. Take part in stream dipping activities, learn about the food chains and explore the wildlife pond. Listen to the woodland birds, find out the geology of the area and discover the history of Willsbridge Mill.
