Our work on the North Somerset Levels and Moors is helping to restore a rare and valuable wetland habitat near to the Severn Estuary. Semi-aquatic plants on the moorland, wildflower meadows on the ridges and ancient woodlands all make up this beautiful and special landscape, and a range of birds, plants and invertebrates all depend on this landscape to thrive. We are working with partners Natural England, the Environment Agency, the Internal Drainage Board and North Somerset Council as well as our funders, Wessex Water, to improve this unique landscape for wildlife.

We are working to create networks of rich habitats for pollinators across the West of England, joining up landscapes and allowing insects like bees and butterflies to feed and flourish.

Frome Valley Growing Project is part of Team Wilder and supports actions for nature at home and in the community to benefit people and wildlife.

Thornbury Community Permaculture Project share community garden wildlife friendly practices to benefit wildlife and people. Using the permaculture principles and an attitude of learning and growing, a lot of knowledge is share to inspire others to take action for nature at home or in the community.

Tales from our Riverbank: Co-existence in the River Avon is a project in Batheaston and aims to increase understanding, awareness and show beauty of the river – engagement with public on the river, celebration event at town hall, video creation, school activities (Marian Hill and willow art creation), plans for river clean and more. Team Wilder is a community of people working together to support nature throughout our region. Together, we can make a difference and create a healthier and more wildlife-rich environment for all.
