Help us 'Win a Minibus' with the Bristol Post

Friday 4th July 2014

We have entered the Bristol Post's 'Win a Minibus' competition. Winning would mean so much. We work with a huge range of volunteers and community groups, in order to improve well being through contact with nature. The minibus would help us get these groups to our nature reserves. It would be wonderful to have the minibus ready for Bristol Green Capital 2015!

The winner will be picked from a hat, with 100 tokens equaling 1 entry into the hat. With 100 tokens per entry, the more tokens we collect, the more entries we have, therefore the higher the chance of winning. Tokens will be published in every edition of the paper between 7 July and 15 August, so please get collecting and spread the word!

We would love to win the Minibus because our old minibus broke down last year and we haven't had the funds to replace it.

We have just acquired the neglected and derelict former Bristol and West Sport's Ground site on the Portway, with the aim of turning it into a wildlife haven on the edge of the city. As part of this, we want to take community groups and volunteers to the site (and other sites in the Avon area) to learn about nature and help us achieve our aims.

Our nature reserves provide a platform not just for wildlife, but for people. We work with a huge range of community groups, including youth projects, refugee groups and groups with mental health and learning difficulties, in order to improve their well-being through contact with nature.

A new mini-bus would allow us to help more of these disadvantaged people, protect more wildlife and inspire the next generation to care about our natural environment. This is especially poignant with the lead up to Bristol Green Capital 2015.

Please get collecting and spead the word!

Please give your tokens to a member of staff, or send them/drop them in to Jade Preddy at our Bristol office: 32 Jacobs Wells Road, Bristol, BS8 1DR.

Thank you.
