Learn all about the identification of birds in spring on this one day course for both beginners and improvers.

With a focus on identification by sight and song, discover more about our breeding birds at one of Avon's most diverse wildlife sites; Chew Valley. Expect a combination of an indoor presentations and plenty of outdoor practicals with local naturalist Matt Collis.

Learning outcomes:

  • An introduction to identifying spring birds, both common and rare, by sight and sound
  • Obtain key tips on how to begin to distinguish between similar sounding birds
  • Learn and practice techniques enabling you to continue your learning away from the course
  • Explore and discover more about one of Avon’s best birding sites
