Ever wanted to know the names and much more about Britain’s wonderful wild trees? Our half day course led by ecologist Alex Morss offers an opportunity to discover their character in closer detail. The option of a full day course is also on offer if you would like to put your skills to the test with Alex's support in the afternoon.

About the event

Join us in the Feed Bristol classroom  for a morning of learning tree ID skills with experienced ecologist, Alex Morss. You will learn how to identify a range of native and common naturalised trees, using keys and features such as bark, buds, leaves, twigs, nuts and fruits. You will also explore their natural history and touch on their fascinating ecology. (10am- 1pm)

Then, in the afternoon deepen your knowledge with a guided walk where you can put your new skills to the test and continue learning while Alex guides you through the autumn trees at this most fantastic time of year. (1:30pm- 4pm)
