Lady Fern

About

A deciduous fern that prefers more acid conditions but can be found in a wide variety of soil types.  Like all ferns it prospers in damp conditions and reproduces not by seed but by spore. 

How to identify

Thrice pinnate leaves grow from a central base and are diamond shaped with the fronds usually held horizontally, drooping at the ends.
