Many doctors will tell you that being outside among nature can improve your physical and mental health. Just going for a walk by a river or strolling through woodland can give anyone a real boost. However, many people do not know where to go or need a little support in exploring nature. If you feel like this or want to work with people who enjoy spending a day exploring some very special places, email people@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk and we may be able to help.

We also organise special days where you can do some gentle physical work to protect wildlife on one of our nature reserves. If you are part of a group that would like to get involved please email us for current activities. Our Heritage Lottery funding enables us to develop special projects with young people, ethnic communities and people with special requirements.

If you feel unsure about visiting some of these places or have special requirements we may be able to organise a special visit for you, so please email us at people@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk

Get some fresh air and feel fitter and healthier by joining us on one of our projects to improve areas for wildlife. You could find yourself planting trees, restoring ponds or getting involved in traditional countryside crafts like hedge laying. If you are a part of a community group or have special requirements we may be able to organise a task specially designed to fit your needs. Email us at people@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk
