Our work on the North Somerset Levels and Moors is helping to restore a rare and valuable wetland habitat near to the Severn Estuary. Semi-aquatic plants on the moorland, wildflower meadows on the ridges and ancient woodlands all make up this beautiful and special landscape, and a range of birds, plants and invertebrates all depend on this landscape to thrive. We are working with partners Natural England, the Environment Agency, the Internal Drainage Board and North Somerset Council as well as our funders, Wessex Water, to improve this unique landscape for wildlife.

Avon Wildlife Trust has acquired a former dairy farm on the North Somerset Levels and Moors, called Ebdon Farm.

Working with Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART), we will work across the Land Yeo in the North Somerset Levels and Moors to increase biodiversity throughout this internationally rare landscape.
