Willsbridge Mill hire facilities

Are you looking for a convenient and unusual local venue for your next training course, conference, or annual general meeting away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Look no further than the historic Mill and Long Barn buildings at Avon Wildlife Trust's Education Centre at Willsbridge Mill. Only 6 miles from the city centres of Bath and Bristol, it is attractively located in a small wooded valley, an oasis for wildlife, but easily accessible from the main road.

Events Hall

The Mill and Barn offer excellent facilities for hire. Built in the locally quarried sandstone, these fine 19th century buildings have undergone innovative restoration to provide a range of conference rooms with supporting facilities.

Long Barn Events Hall (100)
Occupying the entire ground floor of the Long Barn Education Centre, the Events Hall is a light and spacious room with beautifully designed murals and other artworks. Complemented by a balcony, it provides a very attractive setting for a range of uses including courses, conferences, meetings, talks, and   events such as green wedding parties, baby naming ceremonies and retirement parties. Events hall seats up to 80, and with tables, up to 60 can be comfortably accommodated. An extra 10 can be seated on the balcony. Without tables it is an ideal room for a party of 100.

Small Conference Room (20)
Adjacent to the events hall, this alternative space for smaller intimate gatherings accommodates 20.

Mill Floor (80)
A large floor space is available on the middle floor of the 3 storey former Corn Mill. It is ideal as performance space as well as a useful space for workshops and courses. Up to 80 can be seated comfortably without tables. Wheelchair access is available through a fire exit door at the back of the building which is reached by a path at the back of the buildings.

Catering
Full coffee and tea making facilities are available. Buffet lunches and sandwiches can be made available on request.

Current menu:

Lunch time:
£7/head for sandwiches or baguettes (fillings: tuna, egg, cheese, brie and grape, cream cheese and strawberry, mushroom risotto/pate, with and without mayonnaise, salad veg)

£8/head for ham or cheese ploughmans

£9/head for selection of pizza, quiche, range of salads (pasta, rice, bean, potato, green)

All menus come with fruit, cakes, fruit juice, mineral water and hot drinks

£5/head for sandwiches only without above accompaniment.

Events Hall

Breakfast/arrival:
£2/head for tea/coffee/fruit tea and danish pastry/croissant

Drinks break:
£1.50/head for tea/coffee (percolated)/fruit tea and biscuits

If you wish you can have unrestricted access to urn for your own use - (bringing your own tea, coffee and milk is permissible!)

Requests to meet special dietary requirements or other foods not suggested can be accommodated.

Please note that the Trust, as part of its sustainable management policy, ensures that all food is locally sourced, fair trade and organic where possible.

Waste management:
If your own catering arrangements are made, we would expect that waste is dealt with in an environmentally friendly way - all packaging recyclable and no disposables used. Our crockery is available for use. Recycling facilities for cardboard, plastic drinks bottles, aluminium and paper are available for your use at the Mill.

Car Parking
Parking adjacent to buildings is available for 15 cars but for larger numbers please park at the Willsbridge Mill Car Park in Long Beach Road, which is signposted from A431 in Longwell Green. To reach the Long Barn, follow the signs from the car park to Willsbridge Mill (only a 5 minute walk)
