Avon Wildlife Trust Volunteer Placements

Are you committed, passionate and keen to learn more? Would you like a career inspiring people to engage with nature? Do you want to gain experience within the environmental sector?

Avon Wildlife Trust offers volunteer placements positions from time to time. These aim to provide volunteers with work-based experience that can support career development, providing opportunities to take on more responsibility and learn new skills. Each placement is supported by a member of staff to encourage individual learning development and assist with targeted training opportunities.

All new placement oppportunities will be advertised here.

Grow Leader Placement

We recruit for Grow Leader Placement volunteers every 6 months.

These placements form part of Feed Bristol's core crew and they are formal positions which require you to be able to commit to two days per week for nine months.

Developing skills in our Grow Leader team and giving people meaningful work experience forms the backbone of this inspirational community project. This enables us to engage with a broad range of community groups to demonstrate social impact and drive the project’s vision forward to become a centre of excellence that champions ecology and food growing. In the first three years we supported 40 people into employment through this process.

A role description can be found at the bottom of the page and if interested please contact volunteer@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk for more details about the next round of recruitment.
