Avon Wildlife Trust is leading an important event in Bristol on Tuesday 7th March 2017 to discuss the challenges facing local nature. The Nature Partnership Gathering - organised by Bristol Green Capital in partnership with other organisations - is a chance to share learning and develop a clear way forward in responding to pressing issues affecting nature at local and regional levels.

Discussion topics include the development of a green infrastructure plan for the West of England as well as new ways to include people from all Bristol’s communities in nature conservation.

The event will also look at some major environmental questions facing us including the challenge of balancing large scale housing development with protecting nature, the connections between health and nature, and the impact of Brexit on the natural environment. Individuals, local groups and businesses are all invited to come along to share ideas and be part of the solutions for Bristol and the surrounding area.

The Nature Partnership Gathering will be held at SS Great Britain Eastern Hall from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and is a free event. Do feel welcome to come along and be part of the conversation. You can register and see full details of the agenda here
